Büro app release

Area: GovTech
Details: Agile Product Development
Company: Djungle Studio / Buropratico
Year: 2022

Büro is the service that manages your daily bureaucracy: car, home, people. You create your profile, and Büro organizes the steps, reminds you deadlines, and suggests solutions. Once the problem is resolved, Büro leaves the necessary documents in your digital drawer.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Büro is a project with many faces. And names. And experiments. And brand identities.

Is it a shapeshifter? Nope. But finding its path has been a long and winding process. Born with the name Ambrogio to be the all-around butler, it pivots with the name Mr Wolf – and just like in Pulp Fiction – it solves all the problems. The scope is still too broad, so it changes its name to Alfreedo, an experiment in the expat realm. After numerous insights into user practices and needs, Büro is born to be a digital drawer for all paperwork and simultaneously the assistant that fully manages various aspects of bureaucratic life: such as the birth of a child, a new car, or moving to a new home.

Thanks to the previous Discovery & Validation experiments, the team got a crucial insight from their users: it's a matter of trust.

In every step of the service, Büro will always need to collect a huge amount of sensitive personal data and documents to help their users with the messy Italian bureaucracy.

That's why it's time to build an app from scratch: to build trust with users and start to provide a user-friendly service.

BÜRO'S DEVELOPMENT RELEASES

The first challenge we faced during the first user story mapping was clear. How can we merge agile product development with such a data-dense project?
That was hard, I have to admit it. But we did it. We started to cut "the thinnest slices" possible every single step of the customer journey and tried to avoid an overstructured backend. While developers programmed the bare minimum, the design team built effective screens suitable for a 2-weeks iteration.

PROJECT TIMELINE

BÜRO APP

The main focus of the first phase of the Büro app is to ensure that users have a useful place to collect their documents. To help with management, Büro reminds you of deadlines, and if you want, you can chat on Whatsapp to ask for help with paperwork.

LESSON LEARNED

Büro handyman

The purpose was collect personal documents... but users added also with other documents.

Documents feature is clear, but what about the paperwork?

We jealously guarded so many documents from our users but we still need to push them to ask for help. See you in the next episode ;)
